Complete Hearing Evaluations

At New Hearizon Audiology, we provide comprehensive hearing evaluations to assess your hearing health and identify any hearing loss or auditory issues. Whether you are experiencing difficulty hearing conversations, ringing in the ears, or balance problems, our expert audiologists use advanced diagnostic tools to determine the best course of treatment.

What to Expect During Your Hearing Evaluation

Detailed Case History

  • We start by discussing your hearing concerns, medical history, and lifestyle to better understand your hearing challenges.

Otoscopy (Ear Examination)

  • Using a specialized instrument, we examine your ear canal and eardrum to check for earwax buildup, infections, or abnormalities.

Pure-Tone Audiometry

  • You will wear headphones and listen to a series of tones at different frequencies to determine the softest sounds you can hear.

Speech Testing

  • Measures how well you can hear and understand spoken words in quiet and noisy environments.

Tympanometry & Middle Ear Function Testing

  • Evaluates eardrum movement and middle ear health to detect fluid buildup, infections, or other issues affecting hearing.

 Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) Testing

  • Assesses inner ear function by measuring the ear’s response to sound, helpful for detecting early-stage hearing loss.

Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) Testing (if needed)

  • A non-invasive test that evaluates the auditory nerve and brainstem function, used for diagnosing neurological hearing issues.

After Your Hearing Evaluation

Once the evaluation is complete, we will review your results and discuss personalized treatment options such as:
✔ Hearing aids
✔ Tinnitus management
✔ Hearing rehabilitation
✔ Medical referrals (if necessary)
